Isabel was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her dad is Australian and her mother Swiss. Her family has lived in the Swiss, in Melbourne Jabiru (a small mining community within the Northern Territory), Cairns Australia as well as Jabiru in Switzerland. Sister Nina was also a student at the school which had students from different backgrounds and First Nations. Isabel lives in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was involved in drama already during her school days. Later, Isabel studied drama in Queensland University of Technology at Victorian College of Arts. Before 2002, she never ever auditioned. She appeared as a character in Home and Away for 1988. The show did not choose her to play the part, however she impressed enough producers to create a brand fresh one for Tasha.
